Acceptable Use Policy
Draft for review. This text must be checked by a lawyer and completed with the company’s legal name and address before launch.
1. The short version
Use CoveSMS numbers to verify your own legitimate accounts. Don’t use them to deceive anyone, hurt anyone, or get around rules meant to identify people.
2. Not allowed
Fraud, scams, phishing, or getting money or value by deception.
Pretending to be another person or organization, or verifying accounts for someone without their permission.
Creating accounts in bulk or by automation to abuse promotions, referrals, reviews, votes or free trials.
Getting around bans, suspensions or limits that a platform placed on you.
Getting around know-your-customer (KYC) or identity checks at banks, fintech, crypto exchanges or any regulated service.
Accessing accounts or data you’re not authorized to access.
Spam, harassment, threats, stalking, or anything involving the exploitation of minors.
Money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion.
Reselling numbers or access without our written agreement (the API reseller program counts as agreement).
Interfering with or overloading the service, or getting around its rate limits.
3. Blocked apps
We don’t sell numbers for banks, payment apps and other services where phone verification is part of an identity check. The list changes; blocked apps simply don’t appear in the dashboard.
4. What we do about it
We may, without notice: cancel purchases, block numbers or apps, suspend or close accounts, and keep balance used or obtained in breach of this policy. We cooperate with law enforcement and affected platforms when the law requires it.
5. Reporting abuse
